Two Weeks To Live Review

Two Weeks To Live Review

This week, Paramount+ launched with the hotly anticipated Two Weeks To Live.

In Two Weeks To Live, we meet Kim (Maisie Williams, Game of Thrones), an early 20-something oddball who, since the murder of her father, has lived off-the-grid in the wilderness with her doomsday-prepping mother Tina (Sian Clifford, Fleabag).

Feeling compelled to go on a belated coming-of-age adventure, Kim sets out to complete a ‘Things to do in the real world’ list, which includes going the pub where her parents met. Things get complicated when she meets brothers, heartbroken Nicky (Mawaan Rizwan) and banter-loving Jay (Taheen Modak). After a night at the pub, the trio hangs out and ask what would you do if you only had two weeks the live. The all agree on two things – sex and donuts.

Jay creates a fake news report and sets in motion an adventure when Kim sets off on a personal quest of revenge.

Maisie Williams is given a chance to show her comedic talents with a delightful role where she shines. Sian Clifford isn’t given much screen time in the pilot, but as the series progresses the battle between mother and daughter gives her some truly laugh-out-loud dialogue.

Creator Gaby Hull and her team deliver one of the year’s best TV offerings with a smartly written dark humour series that is a fun watch with a script that has a great balance between action and humour.

Book a ride on this delightful road trip ASAP.
