In what is shaping up to be a massive year for 10, 2020 will see Perth news anchor Narelda Jacobs swap the PM for AM, when she officially joins the Studio 10 family.
Not only serving as a studio panellist, Narelda will be regularly roving the country sharing the stories Aussies want to hear.
Hardly a stranger to Studio 10’s special blend of fun and lively debate, Narelda has lent her credibility, expertise and quick wit to the program over the past few years.
Revered by her peers and viewers alike, Narelda has been the presenter for 10 News First in Perth for over a decade and journalist with Network 10 for over 19 years. The network’s first indigenous news presenter, this year also saw her co-host the broadcast of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade.
Narelda said: “I cannot wait to join the Australian conversation every morning alongside my fabulous co-hosts. While approaching my 20th year with the network, I’ve felt the pull for new challenges, so bring on Studio 10 in 2020!
“This is a bitter sweet move for me, over my time at 10 Perth I’ve been privileged to see just how strong the community spirit is in the West. Living alongside so many generous and talented people, makes it one of the best places on earth.”
10’s Network Director Of News Content, Ross Dagan, said: “Studio 10 has always valued a diversity of opinion and Narelda’s appointment will only add to the conversation. She’s an exceptional journalist and presenter, whose skills are a natural fit for morning television’s most dynamic team. We will miss her in Perth, but I know our WA viewers will welcome her still being part of their lives thanks to Studio 10.”
Narelda commences her new position on Monday, January 13, 2020, alongside all your favourites Sarah Harris, Joe Hildebrand, Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Angela Bishop, Natarsha Belling and Denise Drysdale. Narelda’s replacement for 10 News First in Perth will be announced in due course.
