ormer Wallaby, Melbourne Rebels and Brumbies captain Stirling Mortlock is the latest addition to TEN’s rugby commentary team, ahead of the 2013 British & Irish Lions Rugby Tour and The Castrol EDGE Rugby Championship.

The announcement follows that of Chief Rugby Commentator Gordon Bray joining in April and former Wallaby Matthew Burke in March.

“I’m extremely excited to be involved with such a great crew covering the upcoming British & Irish Lions Rugby Tour,” he said.

“To be working alongside Gordon Bray, the voice of rugby, is a thrill and a privilege and to be teamed with Matt Burke is something I can’t wait to do. I’m really looking forward to soaking up the atmosphere and electricity around the tour and bringing that to TEN viewers.”

Network TEN Head of Sport, David Barham, said: “We are thrilled to have Stirling Mortlock join TEN’s Rugby commentary team. It is a real coup for fans and viewers. Stirling’s experience and knowledge of the game, coupled with his popularity as a player, will only enhance and complement our live coverage. Alongside Matt Burke and Gordon Bray, they form an unrivalled Rugby commentary trio.”

Mortlock debuts at the first Test between the Qantas Wallabies and the British & Irish Lions on Saturday, June 22.  TEN will broadcast all Wallabies Test matches live nationally until the end of 2015.
