Tonight, Neighbours sees the return of one of its favourite matriarchs.
Of course, that matriarch is from one of Ramsay Street’s favourite families – Fay Brennan (Zoe Bertram) – who is returning to spend time with children Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) and Aaron (Matt Wilson) and to complete some of her Bucket List with them.
It’s a warm reunion for the Brennan’s when Fay arrives, but the siblings are surprised by Fay’s disappointment that Nicolette (Charlotte Chimes), her former nurse, isn’t there to greet her as well. Although Chloe recently returned to Adelaide to spend time with her mother, Fay is unaware that things between Chloe and Nicolette are strained after the secrets Nicolette has been keeping.
Fay reveals that she wants to see her children as her family, not her caregivers, leading Chloe and Aaron to make a surprising decision that’s in their mother’s best interests.
It’s great to see Fay return again for another stint, giving Neighbours another round to explore the impact Huntington’s Disease can have on the whole family. It will certainly be interesting to see where this storyline goes from here, and knowing Neighbours, it’s sure to keep fans glued to the screen.
