The Australian Director’s Guild Awards 2013 were held last night at Hoyts Cinemas Moore Park. The event, hosted by Adam Zwar, gave awards to an array of shows including Redfern Now, Home and Away and Beaconsfield. Here are the winners.

Best Direction in a TV Drama Series
Rachel Perkins for Redfern Now (Pretty Boy Blue)

Best Direction in a Telemovie
Glendyn Ivin for Beaconsfield

Best Direction in a TV Mini Series
Jessica Hobbs winning for Devil’s Dust (Parts 1 & 2)

Best Direction in a Documentary Series
Jennifer Peedom for Life at 7

Best Direction in a Documentary (Stand Alone)
Madeleine Parry for Meatwork

Esben Storm Award – Best Direction in a Children’s TV Program
Daniel Nettheim for Dance Academy Series 2, Ep 25 “The Second”

Best Direction in a TV Drama Serial
David Gould for Home and Away EP 5438

Best Direction in a TV Comedy
Dario Russo for Danger 5

Jamie Leslie was also presented an award for a career achievement as a first assistant director.
