The Bachelorettes Face Their Fears

The Bachelorettes took huge risks to get alone time with Matty but did it pay off?

With only seven girls left in the mansion and hometown visits just around the corner, the Bachelorettes were feeling nervous about where they stood in the competition.

Matty treated Florence to a romantic helicopter ride and pottery class for her second single date. Initially attracted to her confidence and strong personality, Matty was hoping to see a softer side to Florence and be able to connect with her on a deeper level.

After revealing he had won awards for his pottery-making skills, Matty further impressed Florence by taking her to a secluded hideaway in the mountains. There, she told the Bachelor that she could see a future with him and the perfect date concluded with a rose and a kiss.

Tonight’s group date saw the Bachelorettes write down their relationship fears on a piece of wood before punching through the wood. Lisa expressed concern that she needed more time to fall in love, leading Matty to question whether she was open to a relationship. Cobie was visibly emotional reading her fears aloud, but felt elated once she smashed through them. Tara revealed that she always puts herself second in relationships and wants to find someone who loves her for being herself. Her words struck a chord with Matty, who invited her to spend extra time with him at an exclusive rooftop dinner.

Tara put her heart on the line, telling Matty that she likes him a lot and really wants him to meet her family. Touched that she was so open with her feelings, Matty presented Tara with a kiss and a rose.

At the cocktail party, Cobie was concerned that she had revealed too much emotion at the group date and had put Matty off. Her concerns were eased when Matty invited her to the secret garden, praised her for showing emotion and presented her with a rose.

Seeing Florence and Cobie with roses sparked fear in Elora and in a bold attempt to secure her place in the top six, Elora pulled Matty aside for a sneaky kiss in plain view of the other Bachelorettes. Unfortunately for Elora, Matty rejected her advances. She was left feeling more embarrassed and insecure.

At the rose ceremony, it was Lisa  who was left standing without a rose. Leaving the mansion, Lisa said: “I am sad that my journey has come to an end. It is devastating that I didn’t get more time with Matty but I know that one of those girls is going to make Matty a really lucky guy.”
