The Nine Network has confirmed it has signed controversial shock jock Kyle Sandilands to be a judge on its bells-and-whistles reboot of Australia’s Got Talent.
He joins Dawn French, Timomatic and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown on the series, though Brown’s involvement has been thrown into question .
Nine has unveiled the judges for its AGT reboot by naming one every night this week. Sandilands was saved for last, presumably because of his of his
“I’m really excited to be joining the bigger and better Australia’s Got Talent on Nine,” said Sandilands in a prepared statement.
Sandilands was previously a judge on Seven’s version of Australia’s Got Talent, along with Dannii Minogue and Brian McFadden.
“I have loved working on the show before and I will love working on the re-invented version with Channel Nine. I can’t wait to see what talent Australia has in store.” he said.
This line up with Mel B, Dawn French and Timomatic will provide great television,” Nine’s director of television Michael Healy said.
“They are all supremely well-credentialed in their own field and we are looking forward to the dynamics they will bring to our audience.”
