Stan today released the trailer for the brand new high-octane drama series Twisted Metal. Based on the PlayStation cult classic video game and starring Anthony Mackie (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Encanto)
From the twisted minds behind Dealpool and Zombieland ,Twisted Metal is a high-octane action comedy that follows a motor-mouthed outsider (Mackie)offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief(Beatriz), he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
The live-action series will also star Thomas Haden Church (Sideways, Spider-Man: No Way From Home), Will Arnett (Lego Masters, Murderville) Neve Campbell (The Lincoln Lawyer, Scream) and Joe Seanoa(AEW).
Twisted Metalis written by Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai)and executive produced by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland), Anthony Mackie, Will Arnett and Marc Forman (Electric Avenue), Jason Spire (Inspire Entertainment), Peter Principato (Artists First), Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan from PlayStation Productions and Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios. The project is produced by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The brand new series Twisted Metal will premiere July 27, same day at the U.S., only on Stan.
