The X Factor Farewells the first group of 2015

Last night The x Factor farewelled the first group for 2015 and delivered a surprising announcement.

Kicking off the live show, our Top 11 performed Olly Murs and Demi Lovato’s hit Up, followed by electric performances from Robbie Williams and Ellie Goulding.

After the results of the public vote were announced, Jess & Matt found themselves in the bottom two in a battle against The Fisher Boys. The Perth brothers became the second act eliminated from the fierce competition after their singing showdown. Their version of Kings of Leon’s Use Somebody was no match for Jess & Matt’s beautiful take on Crowded House’s Fall At Your Feet, with the judges voting in unison. With Dannii Minogue, James Blunt and Chris Isaak all voting to send the boys home, their mentor Guy Sebastian was saved from the difficult decision of eliminating one of his groups.

They deserve more, I’m just gutted,” Guy said.

The Fisher Boys brothers Tyler, 23, Joshua, 19, Brandford, 18 and Conrad, 17 – said they were grateful for the experience. What an amazing journey we’ve had, it was an honour to make it this far, we’re just four dudes from a garage. Thanks so much Australia,” Tyler said.

After the elimination, Luke Jacobz announced  that two acts will be eliminated next week.when he remaining 10 contestants will be given top songs by the worlds best-selling artists.

The X Factor airs 7:30 pm Monday and Tuesday on Seven
