Half the teams have been picked for the live finals that will make it through to next week’s live finals.
Darren welcomes the coaches to the stage and tells us that we will also have The Wanted performing. Tonight is pretty simple the highest viewer voted contestant will proceed through to the finals with the lowest viewer vote automatically gone. The remaining 2 contestants will sing their audition songs and it will be up to the coach who goes home.
First up to get results is Team Joel Michael Stangel Lyric McFarland Kathy Hinch and Danny Ross
Michael Stangel has the highest viewer vote and is through the showdown will be Lyric and Danny Ross. Kathy Hinch misses out on a spot. Lyric McFarland sings her audition song shy guy while Danny is preforming when the levee breaks by Led zeppelin.
Delta says they are both so good and can’t pick anyone Ricky would pick Danny Seal would also pick Danny. Joel calls it tough and they are both loved he would make a record with Danny so he is through and Lyric is out
Team Delta Celia Pavey Tim Morrison Nathan Allgood and Ben Goldstein are next for their results. The first through is Celia Pavey while the signoff will be ben Goldstein and Tim Morrison so Nathan departs in a positive mood. Ben Goldstein sings Bedouin Song by Lior while Tim sings the U2 hit Sunday Bloody Sunday
All 3 judges go with Tim due to his stage presence. Delta loves Ben energy while Tim works hard. Delta picks Tim saying that we have only seen a small part of what he has to offer. With that ben departs.
Having reached the half-way point we are treated to a performance of The Wanted’s new single
Team Seal is next to get the results Jac Stone Mitchell Anderson Nicolas Roy and Shawne Kirke. The first artist is Mitchell Anderson Jac Stone will fight Shawne Kirke which means Nicolas Roy leaves.
Jac Stone sings watch over me by Bernard Fanning while Shawne sings You Give Me Something’ – James Morrison Delta picks Shawne Joel picks Shawne Ricky also picked Shawne Seal calls it a difficult choice but Jac is unique so she is through while Shawne departs.
Team Ricky Emma Pask Luke Kennedy CATERINA TORRES and James Walker
Luke Kennedy is through while Caterina and Emma will face off for the final spot which means James Walker leaves.
Emma Pask sings ‘Blue Skies’ – Ella Fitzgerald While Caterina sings the Rita Ora Hit hot right now.
Seal says they were both brilliant but would choose Emma Joel calls Emma a professional so he goes with her. Delta would go with Caterina Ricky calls it intense but he need someone who covers all basis so he picks caterina and Emma leaves the voice despite having herself funded Ep at no 1 on iTunes at the time of writing this.
With that the showdowns end and next week the live shows begin on Monday.
