The Voice Blinds Unearth More Talent

The Blind Auditions continued last night on The Voice last night more incredible talent taking to the stage as Coaches Melanie C, Ronan Keating, Kate Miller-Heidke and Richard Marx continued to build their teams.

Last night also saw more artists added to the competition by secret fifth Coach Tones And I, who remains hidden from the other Coaches.

Taylor Beadle-Williams, 37, NSW

4 Chair Turn | Team Kate

  • Daughter of Dragon frontman Mark Williams, Taylor wowed the Coaches with a powerful performance that earned a standing ovation and four-chair turn.
  • Kate described Taylor as a “marvel” and a “firecracker”, ultimately winning her over for Team Kate.

Charlotte June, 22, SA

4 Chair Turn | Team Kate

·       One of the most emotional auditions of the season so far.

·       Charlotte performed in honour of her mother, who is living with early-onset dementia, earning a four-chair turn and moving Richard and Kate to tears.

·       The audition ended in a heartfelt discussion with Richard Marx sharing the story of his mother’s passing.

·       Charlotte ultimately chose Team Kate.

Jack Hughes, 29, NSW (originally Liverpool)

2 Chair Turn | Team Melanie C

·       Originally from Liverpool and now based in Sydney, Jack secured turns from Melanie C and Kate Miller-Heidke.

  • A shared Liverpool connection helped Melanie win Jack over, becoming her second artist in the competition.
  • Melanie C:“Brilliant rock performance.” “I love the gravel in your voice.”

Jamie Koul, 19, VIC

Song: Jealous (Nick Jonas)
Saved by Tones And I

  • Although Jamie didn’t receive a chair turn, Tones And I believed the song choice didn’t showcase his full potential and selected him for a second chance in the competition.
  • Jamie will now be mentored by Tones before returning later in the Blind Auditions.
