The Voice Blind Auditions continued last night, with more four-chair turns, fierce Coach rivalry and another artist earning a second chance from fifth Coach Tones And I.
Sam Cliffe, 27, New Zealand
Song: Ordinary (Alex Warren)
4 Chair Turn | Team Ronan
- The father-of-two and music teacher earned a four-chair turn and sparked one of the most spirited Coach debates of the season.
- Ronan, Kate and Richard disagreed over feedback about the opening of Sam’s performance, leading to one of the biggest pitch battles of the season so far.
- Melanie praised Sam’s composure, saying she loved hearing “the nerves and the discipline to get through them”.
Tika Cetinich, 35, VIC
Song: Separate Ways (Journey)
4 Chair Turn | Team Richard
- One of the biggest rock performances of the season so far, earning a four-chair turn.
- Tika revealed she has spent years doubting whether she was good enough to pursue music professionally despite regularly performing gigs.
- Richard praised her as “so badass” and commended her stage presence and energy.
- Kate described her as an “all-powerful goddess on stage”.
Liam O’Neill, 23, VIC
Song: You Found Me (The Fray)
2 Chair Turn | Team Richard
- The travelling plumber has spent the past 12 months exploring Australia with his dog while pursuing music on the road.
- Richard Marx and Ronan Keating turned their chairs, impressed by Liam’s unique vocal tone and storytelling ability.
- Richard praised Liam’s performance once he found a more comfortable vocal range and secured him for Team Richard.
Lilita Keni, 18, ACT
Song: Listen (Beyoncé)
Saved by Tones And I
- One of the night’s most emotional stories, Lilita shared her dream of pursuing music despite not having the support of her father.
- Although she didn’t receive a chair turn, Tones And I believed she showed enormous potential and selected her for a second chance in the competition.
- Melanie noted that Lilita’s confidence appeared to fade once she realised no chairs had turned.
- Tones described Lilita as having a “really big voice” and believed there was more to discover with further mentoring.
- Lilita will now work with Tones before returning later in the Blind Auditions.
