Tonight, 10 unveiled its new season of The Traitors Australia after a three‑year hiatus.
For newcomers, the premise is simple but sinister: a group of Faithfuls enter a grand New Zealand manor to compete in challenges that build a prize pool of $250,000, unaware that hidden among them are Traitors tasked with secretly “murdering” their way to the end.
The Faithfuls are blindfolded as Traitors are chosen, missions earn silver and immunity, midnight murders sow chaos, and each night ends with a fraught Banishment vote that could strike down a Traitor — or another unsuspecting Faithful.
This season, the third for the Australian version, sees 22 memorable and fan favourites from Australia’s reality TV landscape- from Australian Idol, Drag Race Down Under, MasterChef, Married at First Sight, Love Island, Big Brother, Made in Bondi and Aussie Shore, to The Block‘s double trouble Josh and Luke Packham, The Real Housewives of Melbourne‘sGamble Braux and Sydney‘s Krissy Marsh, The Bachelor‘s Alex Nation and Keira Maguire, Australian Survivor alums Kirby Bentley, AJ Antonios and Henry Nicholson, plus former Olympian and Australian Survivor champion Shane Gould, who thrives in quiet observations; and singer and actor son, Rob Farnham. Yes, he’s the son of John Farnham.
Episode 1 wastes no time getting the game started. As the players settle into the manor, behaviour is scrutinised, alliances spark, and the first challenge sets the tone — silver on the line, immunity up for grabs, and Overnight, the newly minted Traitors slip away to the turret to plot their first kill, a decision revealed the next morning
Overseeing the lies and deception is the new ringmaster of ruin, Gretel Killeen, who from the very get‑go makes the show her own, her entrance, outfits and backstory adding a theatrical edge as she delivers a brutal opening twist to our unsuspecting contestants.
If Episode 1 is any indication, Season 3 is shaping up to be unforgettable.
