Stan kicks off the New Year with the new original drama The Tourist.

When we open The Tourist, we meet ‘The Man’ (Jamie Dornan, The Fall and Fifty Shades of Grey), who’s in the middle of the Australian outback when a truck tries to take him off the road. By the sheer stroke of luck, he manages to escape, but it’s not long before the truck finally gets him.

Luckily, The Man isn’t hurt and is rushed to hospital where constable Helen Chambers (Danielle Macdonald) goes to interview him. Unfortunately for her, The Man remembers nothing about who he is or what led him to the outback.

And so begins the mystery of The Tourist, which is best left for you to discover for yourself.

Creators Harry and Jack Williams have written a mystery full of twists and turns as The Man discovers his past and tries to outrun the shadowy figures.

Jamie Dornan is an incredibly versatile performance and is captivating as the series unravels. Danielle Macdonald is a delight, and be on the watch out for Shalom Brune-Franklin and Damon Herriman in key roles that add to the star power.

Full of mystery and humour, The Tourist may just be the thrill ride of the year.
