Today, Prime Video announced that it has greenlit a 10-episode third season of the global hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty. Based on the best-selling book trilogy from Jenny Han.
The Prime Video drama has been a breakout success, performing particularly well with young women viewers. Season Two of The Summer I Turned Pretty is one of the 10 most watched seasons of any series ever on the service. The second season premiered on July 14, and more than doubled Season One’s viewership within three days of launch.

Season Three was officially greenlit ahead of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Production on Season Three will not begin until after labour negotiations with those unions have been resolved.
Season Three of The Summer I Turned Pretty is led by showrunners Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka. Han, Kucserka, and Karen Rosenfelt serve as executive producers, along with Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, and Paul Lee for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.
