The Project August 25-29

This week guests on Thw Project are Lou Diamond Phillips, Jimmy Barnes, Kasey Chambers and Paul McDermott.

Rove McManus is our special guest co-host, joining Carrie Bickmore and Peter Helliar Monday through Thursday.

We catch up with one of our favourite guests, Lou Diamond Phillips. The internationally acclaimed actor has received rave reviews as the King of Siam during the Melbourne season of The King And I. With the Melbourne season about to wrap, Lou drops by for a chat before he departs our shores.

Celebrating 30 years as a solo artist, rocker Jimmy Barnes joins us to talk about his stellar career, which includes 14 studio albums, countless concert tours and a swag of hits. To mark the anniversary, Jimmy has released a new album revisiting some of his biggest hits. We will find out about his latest album and his upcoming national tour.

Award-winning country artist Kasey Chambers drops by to talk about the release of her new album, Bittersweet.

The Doug Anthony Allstars are back. The return of Australia’s favourite comedy trio sees Paul McDermott and Tim Ferguson join forces with their mentor Paul ‘Flacco’ Livingstone. With a national tour in full swing, Paul McDermott joins us at the desk to talk about life on the road and re-uniting with their legion of fans.

We will speak to our US correspondent Hyla in LA with all the gossip from the Emmy Awards.

Plus our regulars Steve Price, Mia Freedman, Todd Sampson, Fifi Box, Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann, Meshel Laurie and Tommy Little join us across the week.
