Nine has locked in it’s host and judges for The NRL Rookie.
Taking up hosting duties will be Erin Molan who is an important member of the Nine Network’s sports team – co-hosting The NRL Footy Show with Paul “Fatty” Vautin, The Footy Show Fight Nights, as well as presenting and reporting for The Sunday NRL Footy Show and Nine News.
Joining her as the show’s judges are Mark “MG” Geyer and Adrian Lam, who will undertake the role of Forwards and Backs Coaches respectively, as well as Kate Baecher, the official team psychologist. Along with Head Coach Brad Fittler, they will all be charged with deciding who wins the title of “The NRL Rookie”, and a guaranteed contract with an NRL team.
From next week, the big-name NRL ROOKIE judging team will be putting 25 hopeful rookies through their paces in a series of weekly captains’ challenges, followed by matches against a tough array of opposition. This will culminate in a special live broadcast of the show next year where all 16 NRL clubs have the opportunity to “draft” the eventual winner.
The NRL Rookie will air on Nine in 2016.
