Five teams, ten ensuites, one scandalous week and one hell of a room reveal! It all kicks off now.
The episode begins with another explanation of the whole Alisa Vs. Trixie situation.
Because of it all, the twins aren’t too excited about the end of week two.
Meanwhile, Bec has invested in some LED toilet mixers, one of only two in Australia. Should be exciting. Meanwhile, Madi and Jarrod don’t think they’ve done enough.
Also, luckily, Matt & Kim are designing a ‘safer’ room than their bedroom and ensuite from last week.
Meanwhile, Trixie & Johnno’s steam room has been installed but the water isn’t filling. This could render the steam room unusable until after room reveal. They find out that it’s because of a damaged sensor. Has the installer got another one? Luckily, yes.
Down on Madi & Jarrod’s level, their bath goes in after a bit of a struggle. Also, Alisa and Lysandra are annoyed because they want a power point closer to their bathroom basin than they can.
Madi and Trixie go to a spa to get their hair done. Trixie tells the attendant all about the fluffy-roller incident.
Alisa and Lysandra are running out of time to polish their floors. It isn’t helped by a leaky toilet. With one hour to go, they get their floor up to scratch for polishing.
The next morning, the contestants manage to get their rooms done in time, like always.
It’s now time for judging.
Johnno and Trixie are first. To their first ensuite, they love the colour scheme. Shaynna doesn’t think some of the fittings are worthy of a penthouse. They then go to the ‘boys’ bathroom- the one with the ensuite! They are excited about it.
To Madi & Jarrod’s bathroom and the judges first go to the men’s bathroom. Darren loves the black fittings and Shaynna loves the storage. To the female bathroom and the judges notice their bath tap is too far away from the bath itself. They don’t think it’s that luxurious.
To Bec & George’s female bathroom and they are blown away. Shaynna compares it to a day spa. They love the LED sensor on the toilet. They absolutely love the room. To the boys bathroom and they are also impressed. Shaynna is just speechless at the contrast. The only problem is the acoustics of the door.
To controversial Matt & Kim’s female ensuite and the texture is immediately noticeable. Neale loves the bathtub but not the wall. To the male bathroom and Neale says it grabs him more than the other one. He thinks it is very hard to fault.
To Alisa and Lysandra’s room and we find out that they too are going to present their steam room. I’m sure they mentioned this before but I just didn’t catch it.
Shaynna calls it amazing and Darren is impressed. Neale calls the floor beautiful. That was just the male ensuite. To the female ensuite and the glamour is noticeable. Darren loves the chandelier. Neale calls this an exciting day.
It’s now time for the score reveal. Here is what each team got from Darren, Shaynna and Neale respectively. Before all that, they all get one star towards their eight star rating challenge.
TRIXIE & JOHNNO: 9.5, 8.5, 8.5 = 26.5
MADI & JARROD: 8.5, 8, 7.5 = 24
BEC & GEORGE: 9, 9.5, 9 = 27.5
MATT & KIM: 8.5, 8.5, 8.5 = 25.5
ALISA & LYSANDRA: 9, 9, 9.5 = 27.5
It’s very interesting to see the twins’ reactions when Scotty reads out that Trixie & Johnno turned on their steam room.
There is a tie. This doesn’t happen often. That means each team will get $5,000 each. They are Bec & George and Alisa & Lysandra. And with that, week two is over! But what do they have to do in week three- other than painting their walls? They’ll be doing their master bedrooms and dressing rooms. As it’s another double room week, another $10,000 is up for grabs!
