The 2020 NFL Season Live on ESPN

After months of anticipation and one of the most unbelievable pre-seasons in history, the 2020 NFL season is finally here, live on ESPN.

ESPN will again provide five exclusive regular season games per week, as well as every game of the post-season and Super Bowl LV, all complemented by ESPN’s dedicated preview, review and behind the scenes NFL programming.

ESPN’s coverage begins on Friday September 11 at 10.15am AEST as the defending Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs open their season against the Houston Texans, on ESPN2.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs took the NFL by storm last year and will look to continue that dominance in 2020.

Monday September 14 will see a blockbuster schedule of matches, with three games back to back on ESPN2.

Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings gets the action underway at 3am AEST, before all eyes turn towards the Tampa Bay Buccaneers showdown with the New Orleans Saints at 6.25am AEST.

Tampa Bay are the story of the 2020 NFL season, with star Quarterback Tom Brady beginning his new life with the Buccs. Also joining him in Tampa Bay is former Patriot tight end Rob Gronkowski, with the formidable pair looking to start a new dynasty in Tampa.

Monday’s triple-header concludes with the official opening of the Los Angeles Rams (and Los Angeles Chargers) new cauldron, SoFi Stadium.

The Rams open their new home, and the 2020 season against the Dallas Cowboys, with kickoff at 10.15am AEST.

ESPN’s opening round coverage then concludes on Tuesday September 15 with two further matches on ESPN.

Pittsburg Steelers meet the New York Giants (9.10am AEST) and the Tennessee Titans clash with the Denver Broncos (12.15pm AEST).

“There are so many fascinating stories throughout the NFL in 2020, with high profile players moving to new franchises, teams moving to new cities and new stadiums being unveiled across the league – and our viewers will witness it all on ESPN.”

ESPN will again have a full slate of NFL programming available throughout the 2020 NFL season, with Australian and New Zealand viewers able to enjoy all the news, analysis, preview and review across the game.

NFL fans will also enjoy a dedicated social media program hosted by ESPN SportsCenter host Phil Murphy and ESPN Australia/New Zealand journalist Laurie Horesh.

The ‘Monday Arvo NFL Show’ will be broadcast live on ESPN Australia/New Zealand’s Facebook and Twitter, and will continue the chatter– whether fans want to brag, revel, cry or laugh at the end of NFL Monday’s.

The pair will talk about what was worth getting up for and what you missed, from the best performances to the moments that had football fans out of their seats, capturing the energy that starts at 3am Monday morning and runs through the working Monday.
