Ten will Fastrack the New US series Scorpion which begins in the US in a few weeks time.
At the age of seven, Walter O’Brien infiltrated NASA’s servers under the hacker name “Scorpion” and was quickly identified as a child prodigy with an IQ of 197. When he was 13 years old, he started his company ScorpionComputerServices.com. Since then, O’Brien and his company have mitigated risk on $US1.9 trillion of investments and have saved countless lives using artificial intelligence to protect United States soldiers in Afghanistan.
Now O’Brien is lending his knowledge, experience and expertise to the role of Executive Producer in the new hacker drama Scorpion.
The cast consists of Elyes Gabel (Game of Thrones, Body of Proof, The Borgias) as O’Brien, the cast also includes Robert Patrick (Terminator 2, The Unit, The Sopranos, The X-Files), Katharine McPhee (American Idol, Smash, House Bunny) and Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie, Harold & Kumar series, How To Make It In America).
Based on O’Brien’s real life, Scorpion is a high-octane drama about the eccentric genius and his team of brilliant misfits – an expert behaviourist who can read anyone, a mechanical prodigy and a statistics guru – who are all trying to make ends meet in Los Angeles. All that changes when the US Department of Homeland Security face a national crisis and turn to O’Brien’s team as their only chance of survival.
At last, these nerdy masterminds have found the perfect job: a place where they can apply their exceptional brainpower to solve the nation’s crises, while also helping each other learn how to fit in.
