For those who slept on the first three seasons, Taskmaster sees out tough-love Tom Gleeson, along with his trusty sidekick Lesser Tom (Tom Cashman), set a group of well-known comedians a bunch of weird and whacky tasks, with Tom awarding points based on how well they complete the task. Each episode also culminates with a live task.

Points are accumulated across the entire season until a winner is announced, scoring a golden trophy of Gleeson’s head and the glory of being Australia’s next Taskmaster winner.

Season four sees Dave Hughes, Emma Holland, Lisa McCune, Takashi Wakasugi, and Tommy Little battling it out for that golden trophy.

The opening episode sees them hiding keys, fingers, and a team task at the dock in order for our comedians to earn their points to be get on the path to victory.

As always, Gleeson has so much fun with this batch of comedians, leaving you in fits of laughter as they try to complete the tasks, all with different and sometimes unusual methods.

Meanwhile Cashman continues to oversee all tasks, assisting (or hindering) contestants where possible. Not much has changed and the duo are as delightful as ever.

Four seasons in and Taskmaster Australia continues to be fun, silly, and guaranteed to bring the laughs, and this season certainly doesn’t disappoint.
