There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as after 14 years Melissa Doyle left the Sunrise couch
Famous faces, colleagues, family and fans all came down to farewell her after more than a decade on Sunrise.
Throughout the show special farewell messages from famous faces including 7News reporters, Jennifer Hawkins and Delta Goodrem were played as well as live #farewellmel messages that were shown on-screen and featured on the outside of the Channel 7 building.
Mel’s husband John, daughter Talia and son Nicholas joined her on set as Sunrise co-host Kochie paid tribute to her in a special ‘This Is Your Life’ segment that included everyone from first make up artist to her best girl friend Sharon

Seven News at 7: Melissa Doyle will present a live half-hour bulletin at 7pm on 7TWO from Monday August 12.
