Steve Peacocke lands Hollywood Role

Home and away Star and Gold Logie nominee Steve Peacoke has landed a film role in Hollywood.

Peacocke has been cast in the supporting role of Stephanos in the Brett Ratner directed action movie Hercules: The Thracian Wars. Steve will join Hollywood heavyweights Dwayne Johnson, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes and Rufus Sewell when filming gets underway in Budapest, Hungary.

Hercules, currently in pre-production, is set for release in July 2014 from Paramount and MGM studios. Steve will film in the coming months before returning to his role as Brax in Home and Away in September.

Steve says: “This is an incredible opportunity for me to experience film on a massive scale, work with a world-class director, actors and two of the biggest studios in the world. I’m grateful Seven is allowing me time out to get a taste of that world.”

Home and Away Producer Lucy Addario says: “Steve is a truly great actor so it is no surprise that Hollywood has come calling. We are thrilled to be able to give Steve this short break from Home and Away and support him as he takes up this amazing opportunity.”
