From Monday Seven will launch a new afternoon schedule.
Channel Seven will launch a brand new Monday-to-Friday afternoon schedule from Monday September 16 that promises to keep viewers around the nation informed and entertained.
The new line-up begins with Seven’s national SEVEN NEWS AT 4 bulletin hosted by Melissa Doyle and Matt White, and featuring finance commentator Scott Pape, meteorologist David Brown and sport presenter Jim Wilson.
Seven’s popular and long-running game show DEAL OR NO DEAL, hosted by Andrew O’Keefe, then kicks off an hour of entertainment from 5pm.
At 5.30pm, Grant Denyer takes over in Seven’s all-new quiz show, MILLION DOLLAR MINUTE, a battle of general knowledge in which every correct answer is a step closer to the ultimate test: Can one person, in one minute, win one million dollars?
In a format developed by Seven’s Production department, Million Dollar Minute sees three contestants face off in a test of brainpower and bravery, with the winner earning a place in the nightly jackpot round – a jackpot that eventually rises to a life-changing one million dollars.
“It’s a brilliant block of programming and we’re incredibly excited,” says Seven’s Network Director of Production, Brad Lyons. “Million Dollar Minute is a test of knowledge as well as a test of nerves. There’s a huge pot of prize money up for grabs. Plus we’ve got a quizmaster in Grant who is loads of fun, razor-sharp and we know that audiences just love him.”
Million Dollar Minute host Grant Denyer says, “This is a great new challenge for me as I have never hosted a quiz show before. And it’s not your usual quiz show – it’s fast-paced with quick-fire questions and people at home can play along putting their own general knowledge to the test.”
