NFL on ESPN October 19-20

ESPN Australia New Zealand brings another five live NFL matches this week, with Monday’s Green Bay-Tampa Bay showdown taking feature billing.


The highly anticipated battle between Aaron Rodgers and his Packers against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers’ showcases another blockbuster round of NFL on ESPN.

As always, ESPN will have three live games back to back on Monday October 19.

The action begins at 4am AEDT as the Cleveland Browns meet the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Both sides are coming off impressive victories, and will hope to continue the momentum in week six.

The Steelers (4-0) are yet to taste defeat in 2020, and the Browns (4-1) will hope to show their superiority in Pittsburgh.

Green Bay’s tussle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 7.25am AEDT is the headline matchup. The Aaron Rodgers-Tom Brady rivalry will take the attention of NFL fans in Tampa Bay.

Brady will look to return to form after an embarrassing ending to the Buccaneers narrow one point loss to Chicago in Week Five.

With the Buccs’ currently sitting 3-2 going into the showdown with the Packers, Tampa Bay’s 2020 fortunes may rest on the result in this one.

The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers complete Monday’s coverage at 11.15am AEDT.

On the road at Levi’s Stadium, the Rams will continue their chase of the Seahawks in the division, and will start strong favourites against a disappointing 49ers side that sits 2-3 so far in 2020.

Week Six is completed on Tuesday October 20 (AEDT), with two more games.

Starting Tuesday’s action is the Kansas City Chiefs trip to upstate New York as they face the Buffalo Bills at Bills Stadium.

This game was intended for Thursday October 15 AEDT, however was moved due to a change in NFL scheduling.

Finally, the Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys clash at 11.15am AEDT on Tuesday, to complete ESPN’s Week Six NFL action.

In addition, local NFL fans are treated to a weekly dose of expert analysis on ESPN’s social media.
