Masterchef Serves Up a Service Challenge

Masterchef Serves Up a Service Challenge

On tonight’s exhilarating episode of MasterChef Australia: Fans & Favourites, the contestants split into teams of four to create a three-course menu that incorporated Jerusalem artichokes, raspberries and eggplant in the first service challenge of the season.

Entrées saw our talented chefs whip up everything from Jerusalem artichokes as a chip over tuna tartare and citrus emulsion to artichoke puree and chips.

The main courses set our tastebuds off with eggplant puree, lamb, chermoula, eggplant chips and an eggplant curry on display, while raspberry coulis, white chocolate mousse, and a mascarpone and thyme ice cream with a raspberry friand and raspberry gel rounded out the desserts.

Following a monumental first service challenge, victory fell to the Fans for their entrée, the Favourites for their main, and the Fans again for dessert.

This means that Harry, Max, Jenn, Chris (Entree), Sashi, Tommy, Michael, Julie (Main), Melanie, Steph, Montana and Keyma (Dessert) return to the kitchen to battle it out for Immunity tomorrow.
