British superstar Martin Clunes will return to Australia next month for s publicity tour.

Australia first week of October for a publicity tour ahead of the world premiere of his new series, MARTIN CLUNES: ISLANDS OF AUSTRALIA.

There are over 8000 islands of Australia to choose from and in this three part series, Martin visits 16 of the best. They are a cross section of what island life is all about – islands that express the diversity, the history and the challenges of life on islands Down Under.

Martin’s journey sees him shake his hips with the hula girls of Norfolk Island; shinny up Queen Victoria’s favourite tree on Lord Howe Island; and get friendly with a castaway dingo on remote Restoration Island off Australia’s north-eastern coast.

He then travels to the northern and western fringes of Australia where he discovers colourful creatures off Ningaloo Reef and the magical Muirons; traditional delicacies and football in Tiwi; visits the scene of one of the grisliest tales in Australian history in the Abrolhos; and takes a selfie with the quokkas on Rottnest.

On the last leg of his voyage, Martin visits the islands along the southern coast playing cowboys on the range in Mundoo; picking up a penguin on Phillip Island; and finding sympathy with a devil on Tasmania’s Maria Island.

These places are just a taste of what to expect in this fascinating series, brought to you by one of television’s most charming and engaging presenters.

Martin is best known for portraying Dr Martin Ellingham in the popular 7TWO comedy-drama Doc Martin and Gary Strang inthe nineties British sitcom Men Behaving Badly. He has also made a number of wildlife documentaries over the years includingMartin Clunes and A Lion Called Mugie and presented Islands of Britain for ITV in 2009.
