After weeks of honeymoons, passion and personality clashes, the couples face their biggest test yet, the first Dinner Party of the experiment.
On honeymoon in Tasmania, STELLA and FILIP waste no time accelerating their romance, while in tropical North Queensland, JULIA and GRAYSON’S once-promising spark shows signs of cooling. In Townsville, the honeymoon chapter closes for self-proclaimed power couple GIA and SCOTT, whose physical connection continues to deepen. Meanwhile in Fiji, BEC and DANNY, still reeling from difficult conversations about intimacy, hope to clear the air before returning to Sydney.
After nine extraordinary weddings, the couples reunite where the experiment truly begins. In Sydney, cynical groom CHRIS prepares for the Dinner Party alongside headstrong model BROOK, but a last-minute wardrobe malfunction sends CHRIS into a diva meltdown. RACHEL and STEVEN arrive on steadier ground after repairing a rocky honeymoon fight, while MEL and LUKE continue to struggle, their lack of spark underscored by awkward conversations and growing emotional distance.
Tensions simmer before the first drink is poured. BEC admits she already has “beef” with GIA, stemming from the Hens’ Night, while GIA openly declares she’s expecting drama and plans to bring it.
STELLA and FILIP are first to arrive, glowing and affectionate. ALISSA and DAVID follow, stronger than ever despite his snow injury, while REBECCA and STEVE impress with warmth and maturity. When BEC and DANNY enter, the mood is light — until BEC privately admits her concern that their connection feels more like friendship, and that GIA may actually be DANNY’S type.
MEL and LUKE arrive next, with LUKE hopeful and MEL heading straight for the bar before candidly confessing he isn’t her physical type. BROOK and CHRIS follow, with CHRIS reluctantly conceding the Experts may have “got it right.” Then comes the room-stopping arrival of GIA and SCOTT, confident and commanding instant attention. A compliment from DANNY toward GIA doesn’t go unnoticed especially by BEC.
As dinner unfolds, honesty flows. RACHEL and STEVEN openly address their honeymoon conflict, earning respect around the table. But the mood shifts when GIA begins boasting about her instant sexual chemistry with SCOTT, provoking BEC into subtle one-upmanship. The rivalry sharpens as the conversation turns to intimacy, jealousy and who’s really as strong as they claim.
By night’s end, alliances have shifted, insecurities are exposed, and the honeymoon glow has well and truly faded. For some couples, the experiment is just getting started and for others, it’s already slipping out of reach.
