Last night The Block unleashed its spin off series Fans vs Favourites but with only 2 favourite teams and 4 fan teams things had to be evened out.
It was a state of origin battle with Jesse and Kenny from Queensland taking on Kyal and Kara from New South Wales in a twenty four hour elimination challenge which saw both teams design a downtown Manhattan loft room on a budget of $10,000.
Jesse and Kenny decided to do a living room while Kara and Kyal had a bedroom with a dining and lounge area. Both spaces had a graffiti artwork which the NSW team decided to turn into a feature wall.
Both teams had there share of problems with Jessie and Kenny being held up by the plasterer for four hours while Kyal and Kara set theirs themselves. For the other team there trouble was as simple as a broken light.
The judges thought that Jessie and Kenny answered the brief fantastically but in the end it was Kyal and Kara’s feature wall and finishes in twenty four hours that secured their spot on The Block.
Tomorrow night two more fan teams will face off for the last place on The Block.
