“I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! is a show I’ve been in love with since my time in the UK and is the kind of ‘stay at home and cancel all plans’ TV that doesn’t come along very often. It’s going to be unmissable.”Chris Brown said: “The idea of spending some time in Africa always excites me, but when that means being at the helm of something as fun and fascinating as I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! then it’s a dream come true.
“And while I personally can’t wait to get up close to wildlife like lions, giraffes and leopards once again, the chance to work with the wildest of them all, Julia Morris, has me ready to make the great migration over there right now! She’s an amazingly talented, yet incredibly kind performer who is sure to have me on my toes every day in the jungle.”
With Julia and Chris there to help, the celebrities will leave their beautiful homes, families and luxuries behind. How will they cope with African wildlife, a constant series of challenges and tests, basic rations and their fellow campmates?
Who will survive the infamous Bush Tucker Trials? Who will win the hearts of viewers and be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle?
Australians will cheer and laugh along, as they vote to decide what challenges the celebrities will face, who takes part in the Bush Tucker Trials and who will be forced to shout “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”
Ms McGarvey said: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! is the biggest entertainment show in the UK and we cannot wait to bring the local version to Australians. “It will be family entertainment at its best, a nightly soap opera in which viewers decide who eats, who plays and who stays.
“This innovative television experience will be super-sized across all screens, with a fully integrated television offering and innovative online experiences. It will captivate, entertain and delight all Australians,” she said.
The cast for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here will be kept under wraps until the first episode screens on Ten in 2015
