Global Citizen and the WHO announces One World: Together At Home

One World: Together At Home’   in celebration and support of healthcare workers, broadcast to feature real experiences from doctors, nurses and families around the world.
Powered by commitments from supporters and corporate partners in benefit of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, Broadcast special to also benefit local and regional charities that provide food, shelter and healthcare to those that need help most.

Historic broadcast to be hosted by Jimmy Fallon of ‘The Tonight Show,’  Jimmy Kimmel of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ and Stephen Colbert of ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,’ Friends from Sesame Street Also on hand to help unify and inspire people around the world to take meaningful actions that increase support for the global COVID-19 response.

Commitments from supporters and corporate partners will go to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organisation to support and equip healthcare workers around the world, and to local charities that provide food, shelter, and healthcare to those who need it most. These local groups have been verified to ensure that they are helping communities impacted by COVID-19.

Today, National Geographic announced that One World: Together At Home — a globally televised and streamed special in support of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, will air on National Geographic  at 10:00AM AEST Sunday April 19.

Launched by international advocacy organization Global Citizen, and the World Health Organization, One World: Together At Home will show unity among all people who are affected by COVID-19 and will also celebrate and support brave healthcare workers doing life-saving work on the front lines.

One World: Together At Home is not a telethon – it is a historic, first-of-its kind global broadcast event to celebrate the heroic efforts of community health workers, and to support the World Health Organization in the global fight to end COVID-19. The broadcast will feature stories from frontline healthcare workers on the COVID response, commitments from philanthropists, governments and corporations to support and equip frontline healthcare workers around the world, with masks, gowns and other vital equipment, and to local charities that provide food, shelter, and healthcare to those that need it most.

OXTEL customers will be able to join the world this weekend with special broadcasts of the global televised event One World: Together at Home on Sunday, April 19 from 10am.

National Geographic and beIN SPORTS – both available on Foxtel – will broadcast the global one-time only special in support of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic live from 10am to 12 noon AEST.

National Geographic will then encore the event at 12.00pm and 6.30pm.  E! will screen the special at 5.00pm the same day.  MTV, MTV Music and MTV Dance will all present the ground breaking event from 6.00pm.

The UN and the World Health Organization (WHO) asked Global Citizen to support their COVID-19 response by bringing the world together through music and inspiring everyone to take action and One World: Together At Home was created.
