Farmers Corey and Thomas invite five ladies back to their farms

Tonight on the season premiere of Farmer Wants A Wife: Four new farmers – Corey, Jarrad, Thomas and Tom – began their search for love, meeting their chosen eight ladies for the first time at the Hunter Valley’s Convent Hotel.

After being introduced by host Natalie Gruzlewski, all four farmers proceeded to get to know their ladies better through a series of one-on-one speed dates.

South Australian farmer Thomas was smitten after meeting 35-year-old English teacher Clarette. “She took my breath away,” said the 35-year-old farmer, adding: “She’s beautiful.”

The shy farmer was also impressed by 32-year-old public servant Ellen, 31-year-old FIFO mine site administrator Claire, 34-year-old construction co-ordinator Rachel and 33-year-old blasting specialist Nat.

Queensland farmer Corey declared he was looking for his “soulmate” before sitting down to his first speed date with 26-year-old primary school teacher Jadee. The 24-year-old farmer admitted the speed date made him feel like a lovesick teenager: “I couldn’t stop blushing. I couldn’t stop smiling.”

After promising speed dates with 23-year-old administration officer Hunter,  26-year-old registered nurse Chelsea, and 22-year-old dental assistant Rosie, Corey met Keeley, a 22-year-old optometrist. The pair bonded instantly over family, and Corey became emotional when talking about his grandfather who passed away last year. Wiping away his tears, Corey shared a joke with Keeley to lighten the mood.

Back in the Convent barrel room, Corey and Thomas each invited five ladies to join them on their farms:

Farmer Corey:            Jadee, Keeley, Hunter, Rosie and Chelsea

Farmer Thomas:         Clarette, Claire, Rachel, Nat and Ellen
