Us spy drama Covert Affairs has been axed after five years.
The show which stars Piper Perabo as CIA Agent Annie Walker has not been given a sixth season to wrap up the storylines.
News broke by Twitter yesterday afternoon with tweets by executive producers Chris Ord Matthew Corman as well as stars Piper Perabo and Peter Gallagher.

In Australia the show airs on Seven and has just completed it’s 4th season.
