Tonight 10 premieres a new comedy telemovie with Cop This.
When Cop This opens, it’s AFL Grand Final day and the last two remaining police officers in a neglected, suburban police station find out that they are 24 hours from being replaced by a brand new AI-driven robot called ‘Terminal’ (voiced by Luke McGregor).
It should be a simple final shift for Sergeant Jo Hardy (Nicolette Minster), who has been passed over for promotion and is ready to depart, and Junior Officer Matt Pepper (Ray O’Leary). But when head of the drug squad, Officer Ben (Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann), drops by with dealer Jayden (Gary Sweet), their quiet final day becomes a lot more memorable.
Meanwhile at the Grand Final, Deputy Commissioner Silva (Rob Carlton) and his assistant Alec Hydel (Tony Martin) are attempting to sell Terminal to three potential buyers.
Written by Ed Kavalee, Cop This keeps the laughs and plot moving through its 90-minute runtime, with plenty of fun cameos from much-loved Aussie stars. And for the leads, it’s a comedic showcase that give all of them the chance to shine.
Cop This is a fun watch, with plenty of surprise cameos to keep you hooked until the end.
