It’s the Grand final of Celebrity Apprentice, with just Darren and Benji left in the running to take the title… and these best mates turned rivals are hungry for the win.
After reflecting on their journeys thus far, the boys receive a letter from Lord Sugar. Their final task is revealed, to throw a big charity event in order to raise money for their chosen charities. The person who raises the most money through this event will be crowned champion, but the kicker is they only have 1 day to pull it together!
Darren’s unsure of what to do for his charity event, so turns to friend and fellow Feel the Magic supporter Stuart Diver for support.
Meanwhile Benji wastes no time in calling in the troops – Vince, Woody and Bronte to help him with his event idea – a free kids concert at Leichardt Oval with The Wiggles to inspire the kids to Dream Big!
After some encouraging words from his pal Stuart Diver, Darren has decided it’s time to call in his troops… (I mean troop!) Carla, to help plan a magical extravaganza on Cockatoo Island for charity Feel the Magic. And they’re going to need some magic to help with the logistical nightmare that is hosting an event on an island! Darren’s determined to get everything on to the island, but his frustrations get the better of him when he realises that he’s neglected the most important job – phoning his black book contacts to get them to the event! Never one to give up though, Darren has the genius idea to take his auction to the internet so even those who cannot make the event can bid on his online auction items.
Back on dry land and Benji has the logistics well and truly under control and huge amounts of valuable merch to sell to the crowd. However, his strategy maybe lacking as he decides to give away $100ks worth of merch – free of charge. Janine warns him that though his heart is in the right place, this decision may cost him the win, but Benji won’t budge.
Rugby league legend Benji Marshall was tonight awarded the title of Celebrity Apprentice 2022, defeating Darren McMullen in the finale of Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
