Hunger and missing loved ones affects everyone, but for Beau Ryan, it was enough to say the words, “I’m a celebrity… get me out of here!” on tonight’s emotional episode of, you guessed it, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
To admit you are struggling and then to say something, is courageous. As an advocate for mental health, Beau knew there was nothing more he could give to the so-called jungle and it was time to get back to his family.
Despite noticeably struggling with the lack of food, especially for a man who is used to eating five or six times a day, his announcement still came as a shock to the camp. Their sadness was obvious, but his bravery was applauded.
There is no denying that his departure will leave a huge Beau shaped hole in the jungle. He was happy to take on dunny duty, was the camp cheerleader, a generous listener and inquisitive conversationalist, and was always quick to own the mistakes he made in camp and apologise to the group.
Beau Ryan is the fourth person in eight seasons of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia to say the words following Bernard Tomic, Anthony Mundine and Mel Buttle.
Before Beau went off to devour another steak sandwich, he gave Warren the wombat a good crank to reveal that Dylan Lewis will be going into the dreaded Viper Room on Sunday night. Ish Ish.
