No surprises here with Ten confirming that The Bachelorette will return for 2016.

year’s most successful new reality program will return in 2016 with a brand-new Bachelorette looking for love and another group of Bachelors competing to win her heart.

The first season of The Bachelorette Australia concluded last night with Sam Frost selecting Sasha Mielczarek as the man with whom she wants to spend the rest of her life. The Final Decision attracted 1.92 million capital-city and regional viewers, peaking at 2.13 million. In the capital cities alone, its audience was 1.52 million, with a peak of 1.67 million. Earlier last night, The Bachelorette Australia Finale had 1.55 million capital-city and regional viewers (peaking at 1.97 million), including 1.24 million in the capital cities (peaking at 1.53 million).

Network Ten Chief Programming Officer, Beverley McGarvey, said: “We are very pleased that so many Australians embraced The Bachelorette Australia and wanted to be part of Sam’s journey to find true love. “The response from viewers to both the show and Sam’s story has been extraordinary. Like all Australians, we are delighted that Sam found Sasha and we wish them every happiness.

“We are also thrilled to announce that The Bachelorette Australia will be back in 2016. We cannot wait to start production on the second series and give Australia another wonderful love story,” she said.
