Network Ten has opened applications for the next series of Masterchef for 2014.
The website application reads like this. Any former contestant will tell you that in the world of MasterChef, anything is possible. So if you’ve always dreamed of following in the footsteps of Julie, Adam, Kate and Andy and making food your life, now is your time. Don’t keep your dream on hold for another year,” says the official website.
“Submit your application now and take the first step of what could be a life-changing culinary journey.”
As usual there are conditions attached to applying some of them are
You cannot have any formal tertiary or other professional catering qualifications acquired in the last 10 years.
All MasterChef contestants must be amateurs, if you have previous professional or semi-professional kitchen experience that the producers of MasterChef deem could create an unfair advantage (at their entire discretion), you will not be eligible. Also worth noting is the filming is scheduled to take place between approximately November 2013 and July 2014 (as such dates may be varied) for approximately 30 weeks with a couple of production breaks including Christmas and New Year.
Here is hoping next year is based more on cooking ability rather then the personality feast the show has turned into.
