An Engagement Party and A Shock Return

Tomorrow night, there’s a party on Ramsay Street as Toadie and Melanie celebrate their engagement.

As Toadie (Ryan Moloney) and Melanie’s (Lucinda Cowden) engagement party gets underway, Melanie is still reeling from Harold’s (Ian Smith) harsh words. Harold admits that he doesn’t want her to marry Toadie for the sake of the children, having seen how much Toby and Sky had been hurt when she split from Joe Mangel (Mark Little). But she’s about to face an ever harder challenge with Rebecchi matriarch Angie (Lesley Baker). Will Angie be the straw that broke the camel’s back, or are these two going to get on like a house on fire?

And as Harold dwells on his admission, a call to an old friend could rectify his concerns.

Elsewhere, Karl (Alan Fletcher) and Susan (Jackie Woodburne) are shocked by the arrival of their eldest child Malcolm (Benji McNair), who shows up announced from the UK. An uneasy Mal soon reveals he has news to share which will shock his parents, but before he can spill the beans, the one and only Izzy Hoyland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) rocks up on their doorstep.

Meanwhile, Paul (Stefan Dennis) is excited that Shane (Peter O’Brien) wants to go into business with him, solving his problem of buying Terese out of the hotel. But as Shane digs for intel, could the deal be over before the contract is even drawn up?

Jessica Paine and Rachael Alford get to deliver some truly nostalgic episodes that deliver some truly sublime performances from the cast. There are Easter eggs galore as we set up for a finale week that is not to be missed.

Neighbours airs 6:30pm Monday-Thursday on 10Peach.
