American Horror Story: Apocalypse fast tracked to Showcase

Groundbreaking anthology series American Horror Story is set to return for its eighth instalment, ‘Apocalypse’, airs  on showcase from, September express from the US.

o-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the new 10-part season of the cult series, set in the near-distant future, is the long-awaited crossover of season one’s Murder House and season three’s Coven.

 

The stellar cast this season includes series regulars Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, as well as returning cast members Jessica Lange and Adina Porter, who both appeared in Murder House. Legendary rock singer Stevie Nicks will also feature, as well as Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe and Frances Conroy all of whom starred in Coven. Actors Billie Lourd, Cheyenne Jackson and Leslie Grossman from last season’s Cult are also confirmed to join.

Australian actor Cody Fern, who played David Madson in The Emmy nominated FX series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, will appear for the first time in the new season series, along with Hollywood royalty Joan Collins and actor Billy Porter, who also stars in Ryan Murphy’s critically acclaimed FX series Pose.

 

The Emmy and Golden Globe winning franchise is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television and distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. The series is co-created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, who are also executive producers alongside Tim Minear, James Wong and Alexis Martin Woodall.

 8:30pm Thursday September 13 on Showcase.
