Foxtel is launching a new series Almost Royal later this month.

This comedy-reality series joins two young British aristocrats as they embark on their first ever trip to the USA and interact with real-life members of the American public. Brother and sister Georgie and Poppy Carlton are heirs to a large country estate in England, enjoying privileged lives as distant descendants of the British royal family. The siblings – 50th and 51st in line to the throne – have agreed to a camera crew following them on their unconventional royal tour. But while the siblings are actually played by up-and-coming comedians, the unsuspecting people they encounter have no clue these two aren’t for real. Cue bemusement across the country as the Carltons get caught up in everything from a rap battle in Detroit to plastic surgery in Los Angeles, from rewriting history in Boston and sampling Washington politics to a jaw-dropping appearance at New York Fashion Week, not to mention embracing cowboy culture in Texas and launching a country-pop fusion career in Nashville.

Almost Royal premieres 10 PM Monday November 23 on Comedy Channel.
