Alana leaves The Bachelor

Last night on The Bachelor Australia, legal secretary Alana, 26, was sent home in a shock elimination

Alana had established herself early as a strong contender to win Blake’s heart, so his decision not to give her a rose took both Alana and the remaining ladies by surprise.

At the cocktail party Alana confidently declared she would not approach Blake for his attention – a possible mistake, as other ladies were willing and eager to put themselves forward to get valuable one-on-one time.

Despite the competitive nature of the other girls, Alana departed with good grace. She whispered in Blake’s ear as she walked away: “You’ll find the one here for sure.”

After leaving the mansion, Alana said: “Everyone signs up for this to have that dream, to fall in love and get married and have children. That’s most girls dream. Obviously this didn’t work out for me but I won’t let it get me down.”

While Alana’s dream is over, it is still alive and well for entrepreneur Laurina, 30, after she had a high adrenaline and romantic date with Blake that included a dramatic sky dive. Clearly intrigued by her, Blake gave her a rose and several kisses during passionate one-on-one time at his own Bachelor Pad.

Laurina said: “I felt really privileged. It was an honour to be the first girl that he has brought there and it’s a symbol of reaching a milestone in the process that he’s starting to open up more himself.

“That was the biggest connection for me, that moment, and I thought to myself maybe I could love this guy.”

The Bachelor Australia. airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm. On Ten.
