Australian Survivor is going where it has never gone before – pitting some of the country’s most celebrated sporting heroes, TV stars and everyday Aussies against each other in a showdown that will test the toughest among them.
Two perfectly matched tribes will hit the beaches of Malaysia, with each player set to face off with someone on the other side who possesses the same strengths, physicality, smarts, drive, and charisma.
To win the half-million-dollar prize, our castaways will not only have to Outwit, Outplay and Outlast all the other players; they will have to beat their Survivor rival to take the title of Sole Survivor.
This year, Australian Survivor: Rivals heads to the spectacular new location of Malaysia, where host David Genat puts some of Australia’s fiercest real-world rivalries to the ultimate test.
It’s League versus Union as Robbie Farah and Adam Ashley-Cooper go head-to-head, while AFL legends Heath Shaw and Adam Cooney reignite their fierce Collingwood v Essendon rivalry.
Twin interior designers Alisa and Lysandra Fraser from The Block put their sibling bond to the ultimate test, while Olympic champions Kerri Pottharst and Danielle Scott pit the Summer and Winter Games against each other.
Actors Bernard Curry and Lincoln Lewis bring some serious drama to the rivalry, while red carpet regulars Mitch Churi and Christian Wilkins battle to see who shines brightest.
Athletes Sharni Layton and Sarah Yatim bring their competitive spirit from the game to the island, while two top lawyers swap the courtroom for the ultimate game of strategy. Joining them are a pair of vloggers, divas and rebels, alongside two formidable power mums.
With unique strengths, personalities and rivalries, they will navigate the challenges, alliances and betrayals of the game – all in pursuit of the coveted title of Sole Survivor.

Former Essendon AFL player, Adam Cooney, said: “It’s time to see if I’ve got any competitive juices left in me. Let’s bring back the Anzac Day rivalry between me and Heath. I never won a Grand Final and I didn’t beat Heath on Anzac Day either. But this is where I get my revenge, on Australian Survivor!”
