Another Survivor episode last night delivered the goods.

After the Tribal Council twist that saw Rohan voted off the island, a stunned Vavau returned to camp. The tribe was left reeling from the surprise loss, while Phoebe was grappling with the idea that Kristie and Kat would risk everything for a personal vendetta.

Kat was delighted to know she played a part in eliminating Rohan. But as Kat revelled in her victory, Phoebe felt like Kat was putting her need for revenge ahead of the good of the tribe. Realising she had lost her only ally with the departure of Rohan, Phoebe became determined to secure her place in the competition. After seeing Craig emerge from the mangroves, Phoebe set offin the same direction in hopes of finding a hidden Immunity Idol. Her gamble paid off when she found the Idol, gaining power once again.

Over at Saanapu, life was good. The tribe was going from strength to strength and enjoying the comforts of their relaxed camp, surrounded by friends. Unlike their former Aganoan tribe mates who had taken up residency at Vavau, Lee and El had been welcomed by their new tribe and were forming strong friendships.

Heading into the Immunity Challenge, Vavau were aware they were the underdogs and that losing Rohan had only made them weaker.

The challenge required strength, dexterity and quick wits. With Vavau failing on all fronts, they were forced to prepare for yet another Tribal Council.

Andrew, who considered himself the puppet master of the Vavau tribe, began strategizing immediately, encouraging each of his tribe mates to eliminate Kat.

But Kate and Craig had other ideas. After losing Rohan the night before, they were determined not to lose another challenge. Acknowledging Andrew’s poor physical performance, the pair considered breaking their alliance with Andrew and eliminating him.

Elsewhere on Vavau beach, Phoebe had the same idea. She convinced Kristie and Kat to vote for Andrew and had begun to recruit Conner. But when Andrew appeared from nowhere, their conversation was cut short.

As Phoebe entered Tribal Council, she had no idea which way the majority would vote. After toying with the decision of whether to use her hidden Immunity Idol, she put faith in her tribe, keeping the Idol to herself.

With Kat receiving the most votes, it was her time to leave Australian Survivor. Upon her departure, Kat said: “It’s been an absolute pleasure guys. Play hard. I’ll see you on the outside.
