Survivor’s New Tribe Remove Game’s Big Threat.

Well there’s no doubt now the Survivor game is definitely on.

After weeks of competing in two tribes, the Castaways were excited to learn from host Jonathan LaPaglia that they had made it to the next stage in the Survivor game, the merge. The competition had now become an individual feat, a change that would go on to tear old alliances apart.

For their first individual Reward Challenge, the Castaways had their chance to enter the Survivor Auction and bid for some tasty treats. While the likes of Benji and Sharn walked away with big meals and full bellies, Brian’s bid turned out to be an unlucky one, as he bet big bucks on what turned out to be a bowl of rice.

The Immunity Challenge required each Survivor to draw on their reserves of mental and physical endurance. Shane, believing that she would not be able to take out the challenge, opted out early in order to reserve her strength. It was from this position on the sideline that she slowly started gathering the numbers in a plan to vote out Lydia.

As time went on in the challenge, Criminal Barrister Sharn and Lydia remained the only two left in the game. After hours gripping onto a pole, Sharn took out immunity, defeating the Olympian  and leaving her exposed to Shane’s plans.

Back at camp, Lydia conspired with former Contender tribemates, Benji and Robbie to instigate a blindside on Interior Designer, Fenella. However, at Tribal Council Lydia soon realised that it was her who was the subject of the blindside as Jonathan read out the almost unanimous votes.

On her departure, a shell-shocked Lydia said: “Honoured to be a challenge threat, but bummed that my time here is over. I would have loved to go head-to-head with other challenge threats right unto the end, but they didn’t have the guts. Too bad.”
