Today Netflix unleashed its newest book-to-screen adaptation in The Perfect Couple.

When the series opens, The Perfect Couple follows the preparations for the wedding of Amelia Sacks (Eve Hewson), a quirky young woman about to marry into one of Nantucket’s richest families, and Benji Winbury (Billy Howle), the middle son of author Greer Garrison Winbury (Nicole Kidman) and her muse husband Tag Winbury (Live Schrieber).

The family also includes sister-in-law to the groom, Abby (Dakota Fanning) who is married to eldest son Thomas (Jack Reynor) and are about to welcome their first child together. And rounding out the Winbury clan is youngest brother Will (SamNivola), who is quickly growing up.

Also joining the festivities is best man and Benji’s childhood friend from boarding school Shooter Diuval (Ishaan Khatter), and Amelia’s best friend and maid of honour Merritt Monaco (Meghann Fahy).

No expense is spared for the rehearsal dinner, but the big is thrown into chaos when someone winds up dead. Enter Chief of Police Dan Carter (Michael Beach) and Detective Nikki Henry (Donna Lynne Champlin).

Secrets unravel and the mystery deepens in this six-part thriller, told in a non-linear structure. Penned by Jenna Lamia, the team brings Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times bestselling novel in a not-to-be-missed series to the screen.

With a top-notch cast, The Perfect Couple is your next weekend thrill ride.
