Foxtel has confirmed it will broadcast the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s 30th Birthday Bash recently filmed in front of a live audience from Melbourne’s historic Regent Theatre.
The Birthday Bash event will become a six-part series made exclusively for The Comedy Channel, hosted by Tommy Little.
Over the last 30 years the Melbourne International Comedy Festival has played host to thousands of local and international performers and entertained millions of people to become one of the most highly-acclaimed comedy festivals in the world. A massive line-up of comedy superstars past, present and future will deliver a once in a lifetime comedy event which you won’t miss out on thanks to The Comedy Channel.
Each episode will be made up of a selection from the 24 live Birthday Bash performances celebrating 30 fabulous years of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival such as Cal Wilson, Wil Anderson, Judith Lucy, Rod Quantock, Gerry Connolly, Rachel Berger, Simon Munnery, Luke McGregor, Eddie Perfect, Wendy Harmer, Rich Hall, Greg Fleet, The Umbilical Brothers and Nina Conti with many more stars taking to the stage on the night.
