The List Review

The List Review

This week, Paramount+ releases a new Aussie comedy series with The List.

The premise is simple: We all have a bucket list of things we want to do before we die, but what if we tackled a list we didn’t know the contents of.

Jack Steele and Matt ‘Falcon’ Ford, two of the comedic masterminds behind The Inspire Unemployed, are diving headfirst into their wildest bucket list challenges in The List, and they have no idea what’s coming next. These two legends are on a mission to complete spectacular adventures in the most beautiful and exotic countries around the world, but their dream bucket list of things they want to do is replaced by a nightmare of things they have no choice but to partake in.

The series’ first episode sees the boys in Germany completing tasks like ghost hunting in a haunted castle, spending the day at a nudist club, and yodelling at Oktoberfest, just to name a few.

Jack and Falcon are best mates and their bond is clear to see with both having a competitive streak, allowing the challenges to become funnier and funnier as they try to outdo each other.

With narration by Angus Sampson, who brings humour to some truly awkward situations, The List is the perfect Thursday night viewing if you need a good laugh to kickstart those weekend vibes.

4 Stars

The List premieres 7:30 PM Thursday, May 1 on 10 with all episodes now streaming on Paramount+
