Former FBI profiler Bex Henderson is back on the hunt as The Hunting Party returns for season two, with double episodes premiering 6.00pm Monday, 2 November on 7plus.
Starring Melissa Roxburgh (Manifest), the series follows Bex and her team as they track down some of the world’s most dangerous serial killers, all of whom have escaped from the Pit, a secret prison hidden inside an abandoned missile silo in Wyoming.
The dark crime thriller boasts an impressive guest cast, including Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Eric McCormack (Will & Grace), Niecy Nash-Betts (9-1-1: Lone Star), John Corbett (Sex and the City), Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly), Jefferson White (Yellowstone), Elizabeth Gillies (Dynasty), Kevin McHale (Glee) and Edoardo Ballerini (The Sopranos).
But these criminals are unlike any others. Before their escape, the prisoners were subjected to experimental treatments, including an empathy drug that may have altered their behaviour in unpredictable ways. Now back on the loose, their killer instincts could be more dangerous than ever.
Picking up just weeks after the dramatic season one finale, Bex’s first priority is to reunite her unconventional team of investigators. Joining her are CIA agent Jacob Hassani (Patrick Sabongui), prison guard Shane Florence (Josh McKenzie), and Bex’s former partner and Pit warden Oliver Odell (Nick Wechsler).
As the team races to recapture the escaped killers, the stakes are higher than ever, with each investigation uncovering new questions about the experiments conducted inside the Pit and the true nature of the criminals they are chasing.
