House 4 Courtney and Sev aimed for the win with a larger, self-contained guest space and kitchenette, House 5 with Rick still off-site recovering Tayla was excited by their green meadow wallpaper, and House 3 Lisa and Rosco scrambled after a shower-screen setback before finding a glazier and getting back on track.
On Saturday evening, House 2 Chantel and Wyatt had finished early after collecting their curvy bedhead, while the other teams worked late. Scott then called tools down with the judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox arriving on site, at judging and Scott announced extra prizes including a Speediance Gym Monster 2 and an Elsewhere Pod for the Plungie Pool Prize, now valued at more than $300,000.00. House 1 Adam and Jolene also won the $10,000.00 CommBank Budget award.
In judging, House 1 Adam and Jolene impressed with colour, storytelling and memorable styling, though the judges wanted more amenity and noted mixed metals; their budget estimate was $17,000.00 and cash spend $17,002.10. House 2 Chantel and Wyatt delivered soft neutrals, strong storage and broad market appeal, but Shaynna found it display-home plain and less memorable; their budget estimate was $34,000.00 and cash spend $27,484.65.
House 3 Lisa and Rosco split opinion, the bedroom was criticised as basic and hotel-like, but the ensuite drew high praise for its tiles, vanity, sconces and storage, with Marty and Darren suggesting it could have been a 10; their budget estimate was $30,000.00 and cash spend $29,900.14. House 4 Courtney and Sev were the standout, praised for scale, luxury, amenity, a clever, moved doorway, self-contained design and polished ensuite; their budget estimate was $31,616.20 and cash spend $32,418.98.
House 5 Rick & Tayla struggled most with their room. The judges criticised the doorway choice, barn door, painting and styling, saying the bedroom lacked sophistication and cohesion, although the ensuite had strong elements including green marble and good tile choices. Their budget estimate was $19,601.00 and cash spend $30,406.27.
Week six went to House 4 Courtney and Sev, who topped the leaderboard on 29 ½ points and took home $10,000.00 from Chery, securing their third win of the series and a total $30,000.00 win with two 10s from Darren and Marty.
In second place on 25 ½ points is House 1 Adam and Jolene and also in second place on 25 ½ points is House 2 Chantel and Wyatt. Lisa and Rosco in House 3 finished in third with 23 ½ points and House 5 Rick and Tayla trailed with 17 points.
